I remember hearing that at a seminar once and it was pretty hilarious at the time, but it always stuck with me. No matter how good your product is or you feel it is, you have to get out there and tell the world about it. You have to market.

Now that I have gotten the 1st site done and out of the way, now it’s all about the marketing of these sites.

The marketing model I plan on using is one dubbed the A9 process by Matt Bacak, one of the top internet marketers. With a few tweaks I have picked up along the way of course.

Step 1: Get Tons of Articles Written

We’re getting a bunch of articles written in relation to our affiliate product and the key words we’re targeting for the site and traffic. There are places you can go to outsource the writing of your articles, like Elance.com and Guru.com, but for now we’re bootstrapping it and writing them ourselves.

Step 2: Submit Articles to Ezine Directories

After get as many articles written on your subject and then submit them to article directories like Ezinearticles.com, GoArticles.com and SearchWarp.com.

To make this process easier, I plan on using Article Submitter to automate the system.

Step 3: Rework Your Articles into Press Releases

Take those articles and then turn them into press releases and submit them to the various press release site. The main thing with changing the articles into press releases, is to talk about your site and content in 3rd person and take out all the hype so it doesn’t seem like self promotion and more along the lines of an informational piece.

Step 4: Post Your Article on Free Blog Sites

Using the same articles, we’re going to make some tweaks and then submit them to our free blog accounts on Wordpress.org, Blogger.com, Weebly.com, Tumblr.com, Facebook.com, MySpace.com and HubPages.com. The more links we have pointing to our site the better our ranking will be in the search engines, because it shows our site to be resourceful and useful.

Step 5: Create A Video from The Article

Then turn that article into a video by recording yourself doing a powerpoint slide with the same information. There’s a software that you can use for this which is called Camtasia. Basically it records anything you do on your computer screen.

Step 6: Submit to Video Sites

Once you do this recording you can submit the video to the many different video sites like Youtube.com, Viddler.com etc. Again leverage software to do this so it’s not a chore. There are two services out there that allow you to do this. 1st there is Tubemogul.com which offers a free option and then there’s Traffic Geyser which is suppose to be more powerful. But of course right now we’re going to go with the free option, until we make some money to pump back into the business.

Step 7: Rip The Audio and Submit to Podcasting Sites

After we’ve created the video as well, then you can actually take the audio from that video and convert it to submit to podcasting sites. These are sites where people come to listen to new content, whether it’s music, interviews or online radio, etc.

Step 8: Email Your Article Summary to Your List

With the articles again, we’ll just be taking the summary of them and emailing these summaries to the email lists we’re creating. This will help drive traffic back to our site and allow the prospect to see more of the offers we have for them.

Step 9: Turn All The Content into a Squidoo Lens

Once all this content is created, we’ll be posting it all on a site called Squidoo.com. This site ranks pretty well in the search engines and will be seen as another authority link pointing to our site. We will be posting the article, the video, the audio and related content on this Squidoo site.

My Additional Tweaks

1. Will be submitting the rss of my blog site, the article directories and the free blogs, etc with an rss submitter. This will help drive more traffic to these sites and make them more relevant for linking to my initial site.
2. I will be combining the rss feeds of all these sites into one master rss file and submitting that as well. I will be using some free tools from dapper.net and rssmixer.com to make this all possible.
3. Another thing I will be doing is purchasing expired domain names with traffic to get their instant traffic pointing to our site. The instant traffic will help us know how well the site and affiliate offers are converting much quicker than just waiting for search engine traffic to find the site. Will be searching the article directories for articles related to our topic to find some expired domains as well.
4. Submit all these sites and articles to the social bookmarking sites. Again, more links = more traffic and authority. We will be using Onlywire.com and SocialMarker.com, again both free tools.

For the process he recommends doing 2-3 articles a day. Yeh, that’s tons of content out there pointing to your site. It will take some time for us to get to that level, but hey little steps at a time.

Also as we continue, I’m sure the process will improve and evolve.

Then once we get everything down to a science, we’ll be leveraging resources and outsource it all to ramp up the model.
